Overview
The Digi Yatra initiative enables seamless, paperless air travel using facial recognition technology and a unique Digi Yatra ID. Managed by the Digi Yatra Foundation, it is a voluntary system that streamlines passenger verification at airports.
- It facilitates paperless travel and avoids identity checks at multiple points in an airport.
- Each passenger would get a unique Digi Yatra ID.
- It is voluntary in nature.
- Digi Yatra Foundation (DYF) has been set up as a joint venture company for creating the Digi Yatra Central Ecosystem.
