Upcoming National Skilling Policy
The new national skilling policy is under development within the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It aims to replace the existing 'National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship' launched in 2015.
Key Features of the New Policy

- Will promote the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) to pinpoint regions and populations with low skill levels.
A draft of the policy will be released for public consultation soon, with finalization expected in the coming months.
Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Mode

- For every rupee spent by the government, the private sector contributes about three times that amount.

Global Deployment and Demand
- India aims to deploy 100,000 care workers annually from 2027 in developed countries with aging populations.
- A mapping of 43 countries is underway, assessing job types and documentation requirements.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
