The average time spent by individuals in employment-related activities was noted to be 440 minutes a day. Specifically, men spent 473 minutes while women spent 341 minutes in such activities.

Unpaid Domestic Services

  • Women's Time: Decreased to 305 minutes from 315 minutes in 2019.
  • Men's Time: Averaged 88 minutes per day.

  • Women: Spent 137 minutes daily.
  • Men: Spent 75 minutes daily.

Cultural, Leisure, and Mass Media Activities

  • Overall Time Spent: 171 minutes daily.

Learning and Self-Care

  • Children (Aged 6-14): Spent 413 minutes daily on learning-related activities.
  • Self-care and Maintenance: Averaged 708 minutes daily for individuals aged 6 and above.

Caregiving Participation

  • Women (Ages 15-59): 41% participated in caregiving, spending 140 minutes daily.
  • Men: 21.4% participated, spending 74 minutes daily.

This highlights the gender disparity in caregiving responsibilities within Indian households.

Production for Own Final Use

  • Population Participation: 16.8% engaged in this activity, spending 116 minutes daily.

Survey Demographics

  • Total Households Surveyed: 1,39,487 (Rural: 83,247, Urban: 56,240).
  • Total Persons Enumerated (Age 6+): 4,54,192 (Rural: 2,85,389, Urban: 1,68,803).
