India's Strategic Missile Tests
India has demonstrated its strategic military capabilities by successfully test-firing the 'Agni 5' intermediate-range ballistic missile.
Agni-5 Missile Test
- Range: Up to 5,000 km.
- Capabilities: Can target almost all of Asia, including northern China and parts of Europe.
- Significance: Conducted under the Strategic Forces Command, following a military conflict with Pakistan.
- Previous Tests: India had also test-fired the Agni-5 missile in March of the previous year.

- Agni-1 to Agni-4: Ranges between 700 km and 3,500 km, already deployed.
- Agni-1: Range of 700-900 km, payload capacity of 1,000 kg.
- Prithvi-II Missile:
- Range: Approximately 350 km.
- Payload: Up to 500 kg, capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads.
- Pralay Missile:
- New Tactical Missile: Short-range surface-to-surface.
- Payload Capacity: 500-1,000 kg, carrying conventional warheads.
