India-U.S. Defence Cooperation Expansion

India and the U.S. have agreed to broaden their defence ties through the commencement of discussions on a new ten-year framework. This development was announced during the India-U.S. 2+2 Intersessional Dialogue held on August 25, 2025.

The chairs reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Indo-Pacific region through the QUAD partnership.
