e-B-4 Visa Introduction

The e-B-4 Visa is a new initiative by India aimed at facilitating specific business-related travel for Chinese nationals. It was introduced to enhance business relations and is applicable for various business activities.

Key Features of e-B-4 Visa

  • Purpose: The visa can be applied for various activities such as: 
    • Installation and commissioning of equipment
    • Quality checks and essential maintenance
    • Production and IT-related activities
    • ERP ramp-up and training
    • Supply chain development and vendor empanelment
    • Plant design and setup
    • Senior management and executive activities
  • Application Process:
    • The visa can be applied online without needing to visit the embassy or agents.
    • It takes approximately 45 to 50 days for issuance.
    • Permission is granted for a stay of up to six months in India.
  • Application Portals:
    • Indian companies can register on DPIIT’s NSWS portal at https://www.nsws.gov.in under 'Login-Business User Login'.
    • Applicants can also apply on the portal https://indianvisaonline.gov.in under 'For e-Visa by Bureau of Immigration'.
