PSLV-C62/EOS-N1 Mission Launch
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch the PSLV-C62/EOS-N1 mission on January 12, 2026, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. This launch marks the 105th from Sriharikota and the 64th flight of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), as well as the fifth mission of the PSLV-DL variant.
Mission Details
- The mission is led by NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) as a commercial endeavor.
- EOS-N1 Satellite: An earth observation satellite with strategic applications.
- Co-passenger Satellites: 15 additional satellites accompany the mission, developed by startups and academia from different countries.
Specifics of the Mission
- All satellites, including EOS-N1 and 14 others, will be placed into a Sun Synchronous Orbit.
- The KID Capsule will follow a re-entry trajectory.
- Post satellite deployment, the PS4 stage will de-boost and enter a re-entry trajectory before the KID Capsule separates.
- Both PS4 and the KID Capsule will re-enter Earth's atmosphere, impacting the South Pacific Ocean.

- Theos-2: Jointly developed by Thailand and UK's SSTL.
- CGUSAT, DSUSAT, MOI-1, LACHIT, Thybolt-3: Developed by Dhruva Space, with partnerships from Indian and international institutes.
- Munal: Developed by Nepal University Antharkshya Pratishtan with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
- KID: By Orbital Paradigm (Spain) and RIDE! (France).
- Other satellites include Edusat, Uaisat, Galaxy Explorer, Orbital Temple, Aldebaran-1, Sanskarsat, and AyulSat from various organizations worldwide.
