National Awards for e-Governance 2026
The National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) 2026 aims to recognize exemplary contributions in the field of digital governance. A total of 17 projects or initiatives have been selected across various categories.
Recognition Categories
- Gram Panchayats: Focuses on enhancing service delivery at the grassroots level through digitization.
- Government Process Re-engineering: Utilizes technology for digital transformation.
- Innovation with AI and New Technologies: Aims to provide citizen-centric services.
- Cyber Security Innovations: Recognizes best practices and innovations in this domain.
- Data Analytics in Digital Platforms: Ensures digital transformation across central ministries, states, and union territories.
Highlighted Projects
- Agri Stack: A project by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
- Mahakumbh 2025: Initiated by the Prayagraj Mela Authority in Uttar Pradesh.
- Blood Bag Traceability and Citizen Interaction Portal: Promotes safe and voluntary blood donation by Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC).
- TRINETRA: An AI-based video surveillance system by Mahakaleshwar Temple Trust.
- Panchayat Advancement Index: A data-driven governance initiative by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Award Ceremony
The awards ceremony will be part of the 29th National Conference on e-Governance, to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Awards and Incentives
- Gold Awardees: Will receive a trophy, certificate, and an incentive of Rs 10 lakh.
- Silver Awardees: Will receive a trophy, certificate, and an incentive of Rs 5 lakh.
The incentives are intended for use in the implementation of projects or to bridge resource gaps in public welfare areas.
