16 Oct 2025
19 min

India, the fastest-growing large economy, is advancing its energy transition to achieve net zero by 2070 and meet 50% of electricity needs from non-fossil sources by 2030. Today, India’s oil imports are intrinsically linked to geopolitics; around 60% of India’s oil comes from the Middle East, which means any upheaval in that region is a major cause for concern.
