    This vision document defines a long-term strategic roadmap till 2035 (replacing the Roadmap 2030) guiding towards a BRISK partnership, based on: 

    • Business, Research, Innovation, Science and technology and Knowledge.

    Pillars of Cooperation in Vision 2035

    • Trade & Economic Growth: Signing of India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and work towards Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT).
    • Technology and Innovation: Creation of UK-India Research & Innovation Corridor.
    • Defence and Security: Co-development of Jet Engine Advanced Core Technologies (JEACT) and Electric Propulsion
      • Strategic convergence on Indo-Pacific, Indian Ocean Region.
    • Climate and Clean Energy: Collaboration on Energy storage, grid transformation and offshore wind.
    • Education and People-to-People Ties: Efforts to establish UK university campuses in India
    • Multilateral Cooperation: Joint advocacy for UNSC reform, and reform of WTO, WHO, IMF, and World Bank.

    India- UK relations

    • India's trade surplus with the UK: Total Bilateral Trade: £39.7 billion and India's Exports: £23.1 billion
    • Institutional Mechanisms: Joint Economic and Trade Committee  handles trade and investment matters and Economic and Financial Dialogue steers cooperation in finance and macroeconomic policy.
    • Investment Statistics: UK is the 6th largest FDI source.
    • Joint Defence  Exercises : Exercise Konkan 2023 (Navy),  Exercise Cobra Warrior 2023 (Air Force) and Exercise Ajeya Warrior 2023 (Army)
