- Avoid focusing solely on technology and environmental milestones for narrow bilateral objectives.

- Security interests now extend beyond traditional hard security.
- The polar regions exemplify how science, climate, and geopolitics interconnect.
Role of a Polar Ambassador
The role should transcend being just an "exotic" diplomatic posting, indicating a need for a comprehensive approach to polar engagement.
