Increasing Farmer Incomes

Fisheries and Animal Husbandry

  • The plan includes the integrated development of 500 reservoirs and Amrit Sarovars, as well as strengthening fisheries value chains. 
  • For animal husbandry, the government will support entrepreneurship through credit-linked subsidies, the modernization of livestock enterprises, and the creation of Livestock Farmer Producers Organisations.

High-Value Agriculture

  • The government will support crops such as coconut, sandalwood, cocoa, and cashew in coastal areas, as well as agar trees in the North East. 
  • A Coconut Promotion Scheme will replace old trees to boost productivity.
  • Additionally, a dedicated program aims to make India self-reliant in raw cashew and cocoa, transforming them into global brands by 2030.

Technological Integration

  • A multilingual AI tool called Bharat-VISTAAR (Virtually Integrated System to Access Agricultural Resources) will be launched to integrate agricultural portals with AI systems
  • It will provide farmers with customized advisory support to reduce risk and improve decision-making.

SHE-Marts

  • Building on the Lakhpati Didi Programme, SHE-Marts (Self-Help Entrepreneur Marts) will be established as community-owned retail outlets to help women transition from credit-led livelihoods to business ownership.

Empowering Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) & Promoting Mental Health 

Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana

  • It will provide industry-relevant training in task-oriented sectors such as IT, AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics), hospitality, and food and beverages

Divyang Sahara Yojana

  • Under the Divyang Sahara Yojana, the government proposes to support the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) to scale production and invest in R&D.
  • Furthermore, Assistive Technology Marts will be set up as modern retail centers where senior citizens and Divyangjans can try and purchase products.

NIMHANS-2

  • A NIMHANS-2 will be established. 
  • Additionally, National Mental Health Institutes in Ranchi and Tezpur will be upgraded to Regional Apex Institutions.

Purvodaya States and the North-East Region

East Coast Industrial Corridor

  • East Coast Industrial Corridor will have node at Durgapur.
  • Announced to create 5 tourism destinations in the 5 Purvodaya States, and the provision of 4,000 e-buses.

North-East Cultural Heritage

  • A scheme will be launched to develop Buddhist Circuits across Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, focusing on connectivity, amenities, and the preservation of monasteries
