India has joined 29 countries to demand protection for peacekeepers in Lebanon.
Political Features:
- Location: It is a narrow strip of territory on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
- Boundaries: It is bounded by Syria (in North and East), Israel (in the South), and Mediterranean Sea (in the West).
Geographical Features:
- Physiography: It is divided into four distinct physiographic regions:
- Narrow coastal plain along the Eastern Mediterranean Sea (Levant);
- Lebanon Mountains (Jabal Lubnān);
- Biqa (Al-Biqāʿ) valley;
- Anti-Lebanon and Hermon ranges.
- Major Rivers: Līṭānī, Orontes (Nahr al-ʿĀṣī), Kabīr.
- Climate: Mediterranean climate (winter wet and summer dry).
