- He established the Indian Home Rule Society in 1905 with the aim of encouraging young Indians to actively participate in revolutionary activities.
- He also founded India House (a hostel for Indian student’s that served as a hub for revolutionaries in London).
- He served as the first president of the Bombay Arya Samaj and is known to have influenced prominent revolutionaries such as Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
- Key literary work: ‘The Indian Sociologist’, a journal intended to promote nationalist ideas.
