    • State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO)

Organ Donation

The voluntary act of pledging one's organs (or organs of a deceased relative) to be used for transplantation into another person. It is a critical component of addressing organ shortages and saving lives.

State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO)

The lowest tier in the institutional mechanism for organ transplantation in India, established in each state. SOTTOs are responsible for implementing organ donation and transplantation programs at the state level, under the supervision of ROTTO and NOTTO.

Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (ROTTO)

An intermediate-tier organization under the THOTA framework, responsible for coordinating organ and tissue transplantation activities within a specific geographical region in India. They work under the guidance of NOTTO.
