Independent Director’s Databank

The initiative builds the capacity of independent directors to promote high corporate governance standards. It maintains a databank of existing and eligible individuals, with mandatory registration for all independent directors.

  • Aim: Capacity building of the existing Independent Directors to inculcate the high standards of corporate governance in India. 
  • The Databank is a comprehensive repository of:
    • Existing independent directors
    • Individuals eligible and willing to be appointed as Independent Directors
  • All Independent directors are required to register themselves with the Databank. 
  • Companies can also register to search, select and connect with individuals for being considered for appointment as Independent Directors.
