Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY)

The Labour and Employment Minister emphasized the advantages of the ₹1 lakh crore employment-linked incentive scheme, PMVBRY. 

Eligibility and Benefits

  • Both employers and first-time employees are eligible under the scheme.
  •  First-time employees can register on the portal or upload their Universal Account Number (UAN) via the UMANG app. 
  • Part A: Offers a one-time incentive equivalent to an average one-month wage (basic + DA) capped at ₹15,000, given in two installments.
  •  Employers receive incentives based on salary slabs:
    • ₹1,000 for salaries of ₹10,000 per month.
    • ₹2,000 for salaries between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000.
    • ₹3,000 for salaries exceeding ₹20,000 up to ₹1 lakh.

Special Focus and Conditions

  • All sectors are included with a special focus on manufacturing.
  •  Conditions for Part B: Establishments with fewer than 50 employees must hire at least two additional employees and retain them for six months. Those with over 50 employees must hire five more employees.
  • Exempted establishments under the EPF & MP Act, 1952, are eligible but must file electronic challan-cum-return and open UANs for all employees using the UMANG App.
